The HumaPro Website:
The website for HumaPro is informative and conversational. They do a good job of explaining the different kinds of proteins and amino acids without getting overly scientific. The website is run by ALR Industries (the makers of HumaPro) and it has most of the stuff you could want in a website. There is a detailed explanation of ingredients, a Q&A section, research, and information on how proteins are used in the body. The website does lack customer testimonials, refund information, and the chance to buy directly from the site.
In summary, the website has a lot of stuff, but it is missing some key components as well.
HumaPro Ingredients:
HumaPro is all about the right kind of proteins and amino acids. They explain:
“HumaPro® starts with a specific vegetable origin 8 essential amino acid (EAAs) formulation that takes into account the exact HUMAN enzymic [sic] conversion of, and utilization rates for, all amino acids the body needs for optimal health. Did you know that if you removed even one of the EAAs for even one day from your diet for the day your body would utilize none of the protein you take in? Okay, for lean mass growth that is. The human body will use the insufficient protein to make glucose, if needed, certainly store some as fat and give you plenty of me time in the bathroom to deposit the lions share. So an exact EAAs ratio is paramount.”
I am not quite convinced that is true. They even admit that the most efficient source of proteins is still whole foods. Do we get the exact ratio of EAAs from whole foods each day? Is that ratio really necessary to build lean muscle? You be the judge. I doubt it.
HumaPro Customer Reviews:
“Let me start by saying I LOVE THIS STUFF! I been lifting regularly for the past 8 years as a hobby. Always drinking Whey post-WO and during day. I’ve lately become disenchanted with Whey. Some whey’s taste great… but whey always seemed to upset my stomach and bowels (gas, bloat, diarrhea). Plus strangely Humapro seems to curb my hunger like a snack bar. I take on waking, pre & post WO. If you not happy with Whey TRY THIS STUFF. This is my first ALR product and I’m very happy with the results.” – Anonymous
“I didn’t notice any difference between HumaPro and whey. Just a bunch of hype.” – Anonymous
Overall Value:
HumaPro costs about $40 and it does not come with a money back guarantee. If you’re a workout junky and whey isn’t cutting it anymore then maybe HumaPro is worth a shot. But, if you’re just looking for something to increase results from your workouts and you’re not a body builder then whey will probably work just fine. HumaPro is not a thermogenic fat burner. Don’t buy it expecting to lose weight. If weight loss is your goal check out some of our top rated products.
